Once upon a time there was a hamlet called Equilio, which then became Cavazuccherina, nowadays known
as Jesolo, not far from a deserted beach, washed by the waters of the Adriatic Sea.
Once upon a time...and it may sound like a fairy tale, the story of Jesolo, a modern day miracle , a natural
paradise, the symbol of human skills in erecting buildings which reflect in the sea only to give back to the sky
the colors of thousands umbrellas......The fairy tale of humankind and its long road towards civilization, a
road that lead from pile dwellings to modern buildings, here in Jesolo, like everywhere else in the world.

( A.Policek, Once upon a time – C’era una volta )
